Fun for all the right reasons
Okay, for those who don't know, this movie was the passion project of David Allen, a director and puppeteer who initially tried to first get it made in the 1960s and it languished in developmental hell until his death in 1999. A group of people donated their time, used the original puppets from the project, and went ahead and made the movie. David Allen died in 1999, but he is still listed as director. So when people say it's straight out for the 1950s and cheezy, you're kind of right. The script was originally done in the 1960s and the actors are basically all volunteers. Is it good? I mean, probably not in like a major movie way, but it was a passion project completed by mostly volunteers who wanted David Allen's hard work to amount to something. I think that's beautiful in it's own way. Looking at it from that perspective, I think combined with the schlocky nature of it, 4/5 is earned.
Very classic and bright story , I love the animation slow motion and I fell in love with the group
A very fun and entertaining monster movie.
Amazing blend of terrible (in a good way) and actually good. Often went in directions that I did not see coming.
