Body

Directed by Dan Berk, Robert Olsen

A darkly funny and twisted journey taking place entirely on one unforgettable Christmas Eve, Body revolves around a trio of college co-eds whose dalliance with breaking-and-entering goes horribly awry. Sneaking off to a secluded mansion to party, the young girls are faced with dire choices after they unexpectedly encounter the property’s groundskeeper. Following a freak accident, the girls find themselves entangled in a Hitchcockian nightmare steeped in tension, suspicion, double-crossing, and murder, where no one is to be trusted and a new twist lies around every corner.

A trio of college co-eds break into a secluded house on Christmas Eve and find themselves entangled in a murder.

I am really not sure why my social commentary on this film keeps getting deleted: IT'S A VERY WELL SCRIPTED VERSION OF FALLOW THE LEADER. It's one of my favorite movies on shudder! Horror movies are about people who make bad decisions, and the intent is to both intrigue and excite us. THIS MOVIE DOES BOTH VERY WELL. Don't mind reviews in general, just watch the movie: if you pay for a streaming service, there's no need to judge your cheap entertainment.

Great movie with a hidden moral: don't trust authority, and don't listen to your verbally abusive friend. Doing either of those things doesn't end real well in a group setting.

i just love the fact that this movie heavily seems to heavily criticize both authority and lying: I had a "friend" when I was younger who acted like the blonde girl whenever they felt it was advantageous to do so. . . spending time with those kinds of people in a group setting never ends well.

I think this one was saved by quality acting by the trio of women and the man they have victimized. Not really a horror film, but a decent enough psychological thriller.
