It’s barely a movie, but it embodies everything good about television and Halloween in the 80s. If you watch this it’ll become an annual tradition to have it on in the background while you carve your pumpkins.
A bit of a fun time, but definitely "have on in the background during a hangout" stuff. It does nail what it's going for very well, though, with making fun of classic old public-access TV. What story is there is really good - I just wish there was more of it! Kind of hard to pay attention to since it's so heavily filtered to look like low-quality VHS.
Amazing. Like being teleported back to my childhood. This will be a Halloween mainstay right up at the top alongside our heavy hitter Halloween favs. 🎃
The film builds atmosphere and delivers on the 80s vibes, the feel is definitely there. Suffers from essentially being a full length short. Fun albeit a bit boring.
I don't understand the positive reviews for this at all. Did they do a good job on making it LOOK and FEEL like it was from the 80s? 100%! Clearly all their budget went only to that because there was literally less than 10 minutes of anything actually interesting going on. The only thing horror about this is the psychological torture behind being forced to watch old commercials again.
