Competently produced, indifferently acted, feebly scripted. The dialogue made my ears hurt, as ithe film reached its climax. I suspect some kind of troubled production. I've seen good work from the same production people and actors.

The novel by James Herbert is one of the scariest books I've ever read. This is THE worst adaptation of a novel I have ever seen. Movies don't come worse than this sorry affair.
A not too terrifying, but well done, supernatural mystery. The acting was great, and the atmosphere was very immersive. I haven't seen too many movies like this one; if you're looking for something engaging and not too gory or jumpy, give this one a try.
love james herbert's books.glad they made this one into a movie...
