The Strange Color of Your Body's Tears
Directed by Hélène Cattet, Bruno Forzani
This visually stunning Belgian giallo homage follows a man who returns home from a trip, only to find his wife missing. Seeking answers, Dan visits his nasty neighbors, who draw him into a surreal mystery that keeps getting stranger and stranger. Is there a conspiracy at work? How many secret passages does the building have? And where is Dan’s wife? Hélène Cattet and Bruno Forzani’s second film is, like 2009’s AMER, a trippy fantasia on the stylish and scary imagery found in the films of Dario Argento and other giallo greats, and a must watch for fans of the subgenre. (In French with English subtitles.) Contains violence and gore.

I really really wanted to like this movie, but i just couldnt.
One of the most visually stunning and inventive films I've seen. The story is intriguing but definitely requires the viewer to do a lot of the work. If you like David Lynch and giallo this is the film for you, if you're looking for a Hollywood style slasher it's probably not up your alley.
Definitely have to play attention, but the story is coherent if non-linear. This was a pretty movie, though I dinged it a star for being unable to decide what visual style it wanted to film in. I agree with the previous remarks about strange, and disjointed, and wildly varying series of music videos. Some great squirmy body horror of the small but you can absolutely feel it yourself variety.
