If you're looking for a vampire movie, this really isn't one. Just a lot of teen angst. Very average and meh. Lots of unexplained plot holes.

Artfully directed and well-acted, for the most part. It's an interesting twist on familiar themes. Would probably be three skulls if not for the two leads, Sarah Bolger and Lily Cole, who are both quite good.

Pretty but otherwise toothless film that combines Vampires with "Single white female"...maybe with a little "The Craft" thrown in. The two main characters have a charm to them that works, but that's really about it. Story wise, the whole thing plods along slowly with very little payoff, and while it's shot rather prettily there's very little style involved. You'll want to like it, but you probably won't be able to.

It's a challenging movie that chooses to tackle a serious subject in a very unconventional way. The movie is full of memorable imagery and has some truthful performances from it's actresses.
