Pieces

Directed by Juan Piquer Simon

A chainsaw killer mutilates college kids in this 80's slasher favorite. In the 1940's Timmy chopped his uptight mother into little pieces. 40 years later, a series of murders trouble the police. Is Timmy back? 80's audiences who went to PIECES expecting a standard slasher were left speechless by this unintentionally hilarious (and very-violent) thriller filled with overwrought performances, Kung-fu, a waterbed murder scene, and a truly ballsy ending. If you've seen it, you know you want to watch it again, and if you haven't, it's time to be initiated...

Great for any fan of crazy euro schlock. Watched it with the Joe Bob Briggs inserts which adds a lot.

One of the most entertaining films I’ve ever seen. Many questions went through my head during the end credits… was Kung fu that popular in the early 80’s that it had to appear in everything, was there any quality control when it came to movie dubbing and most importantly… why was Christopher George so obsessed with Kendall? A wonderful experience.

Yes! Finally re found this film, got it at a pound shop and got lost in the collection. Apart from the general madness so odd that college campuses go so mad for…… tennis stars! Anyway my main memory and many arguments with my friends is that ***spoiler alert *** there is actually a horror movie where the killer hides from the police behind the curtains! Glad my sanity has kind of been restored.

It's so bad it's good. The Dubbing is shocking, the acting is not much better, and the story is awful. Yep, bad horror o'clock. Amazing!

its hard to know what to make of this. The dialogue and acting must be deliberately bad. The kung fu scene was utterly bizzare , like the director lost a bet with his mate and had to put him in the movie or something. Its like it was made by a really intelligent 5 year old. Zero logic in any of the plot , but in spite of that , its pretty entertaining
