Beneath the 80s synth score and low budget effects is a cop movie that touches on corruption and mental health that just happens to have an undead (?) cop. Those things get lost in the second half as it focuses more on combatting the pseudo Myers/Terminator of its antagonist.
Found it to be really entertaining and the sequel is good too.
Bit slow, even by 80's standards, but I enjoyed seeing a young Bruce Campbell.
