How To Make A Monster
Directed by Herbert L. Strock
A vengeful horror movie makeup artist turns his actors into real-life monsters in this drive-in classic from American International Pictures. Pete has been the makeup man at the studio for 25 years, but when his foolish bosses give him the axe, he uses hypnotism and special glue to make his teenage Frankenstein and Wolfman (played by the real actors from I WAS A TEENAGE FRANKENSTEIN and I WAS A TEENAGE WEREWOLF) get revenge. Herbert L. Strock's clever chiller helped pave the way for modern meta-horror flicks like NEW NIGHTMARE and THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE II.

B-Movie Gold! Fun, fun, fun!
A dark twisted story of revenge, hypnosis, and murder. Watching the slow reveal of Pete's depths of depravity and madness, as well as the sudden artful inclusion of color creates a rather intense experience with parallels to modern, genre benders. Brilliant!
Classic 50's B movie I loved it!
'How to Make a Monster' fulfills exactly what it set out to do: Two heaping helpings of Frankenstein and Wolfman, mix well with drive-in teen horror, sprinkle in some William Castle gimmickry, and add a dash of 'House of Wax' Vincent Price-iness. This movie made a monster all right. Warts and all.
