Truly a classic! Frankenstein is my favorite Classic Universals Monster and while the Bride appears for less than five minutes, she has become an icon in the classic horror genre. One of my favorite stories, I always feel sad for the Creature/Creation. His last words always bring me to tears. Happy that Shudder added it to their service even for a limited time.
30yrs ago I saw this movie. It was still good.
Definitely a master piece, in classic cinema. A monster tortured by his lonliness, and everyone's fears of him. A scientist driven mad by his sin, but blackmailed by his ambitious, but questionable ethic philosophical peers kidnapping his love. The challenges to our inept understanding of life itself, and our never ending need to justify ourselves as God. Cinematic performance, writing, studio, and visual effects at it's most classic.
