Adding to my previous comment, Dana Gould also needs to look at Charles Addams's original cartoons. They are, again, anything but "It's raining, let's have a picnic in the cemetery. " Shudder, do us all a favour and don't invite him back.

Dana Gould needs to watch the original Addams Family TV series again, only awake this time. He praises Addams Family Values for making the family the sane ones and everybody else crazy. That is *precisely what the series did* week after week. Look, I was TEN when the show aired, and I could see that.
