I thought this was quite good. Like most have already said, this isn’t really a horror movie. The film’s themes are mostly about jealousy and it’s all anchored by the very believable performances. It does feel like there’s a few misses in terms of story beats (which I won’t spoil) and the ending might leave you wanting but maybe that was the whole point.
Not really a horror movie. It does have an apocalyptic premise however it isn’t scary at all. That doesn’t mean the movie wasn’t good, because it certainly was good. It has an ending that will keep you wondering for a few hours or maybe even days.
Nuanced and certainly very well written dialogue. A needed diversion from the usual zombie/disease outbreak end of the world mega thriller. A lot left to be desired in the end but a worthy entry into the movie world nonetheless.
Fine movie. But just fine. And indeed, not horror. Barely suspense.
Only giving it two skulls because they completely diverted from the book. They took a strong female character and ruined her, it was slow with no real character development.
