Not Carpenter's best but still better than most of anyone's rest. A little campy at times but still pervasively creepy throughout. The acting performances really elevated it for me, making it seem more like a quality movie rather than a Twilight Zone episode like i was afraid of coming into it. 3. 5*

Enjoyed the 90s feel, including 90s actors. The blackout was interesting. I wish there was a sequel to follow what happens to David and his mom after they escape? Does David learn to become more human? Expanding on his understanding and development of empathy? or does he regress ?

A classic for sure my first time seeing this it was a very interesting storyline for sure but the kids got on my nerves lol. Plenty of good twists to keep you entertained though.
