I'm Not Just Another Pretty Face. The movie that built the House of Troma. A sleazy and rabid superhero spoof that creates its own universe well before modern DC and Marvel movies. A goofy, gory and incredibly strange movie that combines awful jokes with outrageous gore and makes it work. With an infectious good-natured vibe which is certainly catchy, and it's hard not to laugh at some of these odd little moments. Crude in its execution, however that is part of the charm and love that a Troma movie brings. You don't need millions of dollars to capture some of the spirit of old EC comics, just the love of a good mop.

The Toxic Avenger a hilarious dark funhouse that gets better with age. And Toxie is surprisingly sympathetic and well written. An absolute blast.

This is a top-notch schlockfest, really fun. A few bits are things that you wouldn’t get away with these days, which is all the more reason we should appreciate stuff like this. The completely over the top acting from literally everyone is one of the highlights for me and I highly recommend that you give this one a shot.
