My Grandma used to tell me the story of the "Phantom Signalman". I loved the story then & I love it now.
An incredible television adaptation of my favorite Dickens short story. A man seeking company finds another solitary fellow with a very creepy set of events he reluctantly decides to share. A fantastic ghost story with a somber, dark atmosphere and an ending that pulls at the heart strings.
Cool.
A surprisingly spooky tale; it has that usual BBC camp acting charm but it just makes it fun. 11/10. highly recommend.
These are great. Genuinely spooky atmospheres in simple consumable stories. Reminds me of the feelings I would have reading classic ghost story collections or Haunting of Hill House etc when I was young.
