The Raid is definitely jam-packed with non-stop and gory action. The fight choreography is incredible (if not, ridiculous at times). My biggest beef with this film was one elongated fight scene in the second half of the movie which was really bordering on elite ridiculousness, given the condition of the combatants after many violent bouts earlier in the film. Apart from that beef, good fun. . . you certainly won't come away bored!
I'm not sure why this is on Shudder given that it shares more DNA with Oldboy and other martial arts action films (and heavily influenced the John Wick franchise and its descendents) but I'm not complaining. While it's arguably in a long line of well-shot martial arts films that dates back to the heyday of stars like Jackie Chan, Donny Yen and Bruce Lee, it's also got a rawness and grittyness that feels like it came out of the 90s a l
Good movie. Not horror
Please add the sequel, great movie! Wouldn’t consider it horror, but worth a watch if you love action movies
