Hell yeah, awesome
It's mesmerising and I i couldn't take my eyes off every single scene. I've never seen anything like it before. However, I just can't excuse or reward the blatant animal cruelty for entertainment purposes.
All time classic 'midnight movie' from the great maestro Jodorowsky! Funded by John Lennon who adored his work along with George Harrison, who was originally chosen for the protagonist, but couldn't stomach what he had to do on-screen. A truly psychedelic motion picture laced with horrific, beautiful moments of synchronicity. Is it art? life imitating art? art imitating life? or all three? Square movie fans need not apply here but I would encourage you to do so ;) Santa Sangre may be a better film to start with for the uninitiated.
