The Gruesome Twosome
Directed by Herschell Gordon Lewis
After dabbling in the unlikely world of children's entertainment with the likes of Jimmy, the Boy Wonder and The Magic Land of Mother Goose, in 1967 Godfather of Gore Herschell Gordon Lewis returned to genre he helped create with the delightfully depraved The Gruesome Twosome! The young women of a small-town American college have more than just split-ends to worry about... Down at the Little Wig Shop, the batty Mrs. Pringle and her socially-inept son Rodney are procuring only the finest heads of hair - by scalping the local co-eds! Can they be stopped before they clear the entire campus of luxuriant-haired ladies?
A demented elderly woman has her mentally-retarded son kill and scalp various young women to use their hair for her wig shop while a persistent coed tries to link various killings on a local Florida college campus to them.
Cast: Elizabeth Davis, Gretchen Wells, Chris Martell

Really bad acting and sfx aren’t too bad yet somehow made it through the entire movie. Great story line, would love to see a remake.
Not bad.
well, it's a really really bad film. acting is bad, sfx are bad. everything about it is bad, yet i seemed to really enjoy it. It's short and sweet. the actual kills are really entertaining to watch although they do just happen randomly, like the director thought 'oh there hasn't been a kill for about half an hour so, we should probably just pop one here' kinda vibes, which imo made it funny, yet easy to watch
Strangely, not as offensive as I thought it would be - I mean, it's still not exactly politically correct, at all, but not the worst it could've been. Honestly, one of the more fun HG Lewis films - it's got a strange charm to it, and the kill scenes are quite effective. The KFC dance sequence (yes, really) is a highlight.
ive been on a marathon with Stuarts movoes, this is the most filler abd padding ever! you wont miss anything of you skip this. the music aint too bad tho...
