The Gore Gore Girls
Directed by Herschell Gordon Lewis
A vicious killer with more than just a little sense of (albeit, twisted) humour is butchering the girls of a saucy go-go dancing club. As the grim death toll mounts, young female reporter Nancy Weston teams up with impossibly obnoxious private investigator Abraham Gentry to try and crack the case. From late splatter movie master Herschell Gordon Lewis, who brought you infamous video nasty Blood Feast, The Gore Gore Girls is his grisliest, most outrageous offering of all time!
A young reporter enlists the help of a top notch private eye to solve the murder of a female stripper at a Chicago nightclub.
Cast: Frank Kress, Amy Farrell, Hedda Lubin

Why do I like this movie so much ?
It ain’t easy being sleazy. This was icky and gross and I feel dirty for having watched it. Would watch again.
The guiltiest of guilty pleasures. I knew exactly what I was going to get from the title and poster alone. What I didn't know is how much I was gonna be entertained. I started out disliking the two leads, but they grew on me in the end. Thoroughly enjoyed!
This film has no idea what it is, is it sexploitation or sexy Columbo? So many odd choices from beginning to end. You have to watch it just for the ridiculously anti-climatic ending when the mystery is solved.
Can't really argue with the previous reviewer regarding the misogyny in this film: it's so thick with it, it kind of becomes laughable. But, you know, this is 70s grindhouse at its sleaziest, grisliest and most exploitative. Bad editing, poorly conceived dialogue, a sick sense of humour, gratuitous splatter...and sleaze by the bucket (of gristle) load. If, like me, you can't get enough of films of this ilk, which come from an era that can never (and should never) be repeated, you ought to enjoy it.
