Poor giallo offering that is all the more a failure because of the fact that it comes close to doing and saying something interesting, but its presentation and structure is pretty dire. Some credit must be given for the under 1 minute of Spanish Inquisition-inspired torture chamber nastiness, but not too much. Some hilariously dreadful music choices were made here. If you do plan on watching, keep the subtitles on as this switches between English and Italian without warning - also, a fair amount of scenes feature characters repeating the same lines again and again.
weird, but not in a fun way
Margaret's TripAdvisor review of Mrs. Grant's B&B: "There was a huge bloodstain on the floor of my room, the proprietor was judgemental, her son was creepy, some weirdo in a luchador costume broke into my room, and then their friends kidnapped me to their funky torture dungeon. Luckily three big strong men were on hand to rescue me. 1/5." (Why does the version here on Shudder seemingly randomly switch between Italian and English dialogue?)
above average giallo but i really enjoyed the acting and the lead was once miss Italy. cool story and gore. if you like giallo youll find something to enjoy in this one.
Why do I not trust my instincts when they say Turn it off! Turn it off now! Yuck. Not for me. Boring.
