The Boy Behind the Door
Directed by Justin Powell, David Charbonier
A night of unimaginable terror awaits twelve-year-old Bobby and his best friend, Kevin, when they are abducted on their way home from school. Managing to escape his confines, Bobby navigates the dark halls, praying his presence goes unnoticed as he avoids his captor at every turn. Even worse is the arrival of another stranger, whose mysterious arrangement with the kidnapper may spell certain doom for Kevin. With no means of calling for help and miles of dark country in every direction, Bobby embarks on a rescue mission, determined to get himself and Kevin out alive... or die trying. A SHUDDER ORIGINAL.

It was okay
watched the trailer and it reminded me of the black phone. I liked the black phone, so I gave this a chance. it was just okay-- not bad, not good. it seemed like it hand the potential to do a lot more. if you like cat-and-mouse thriller, I'd recommended this.
better the second time around
Not worth it. Predictable and dumb.
Depraved, terrifying premise and tense from the very first scene. Performances of the two boys is outstanding and make up for a number of scenes that require serious suspension of disbelief (for instance, a pool of blood is cleaned up rather quickly, and the villains are oddly careless and incompetent).
