i could watch a transwoman beat chasers, transphobes, and incels to death with a bat forever, and never get bored.
fabulous film! I absolutely loved it!!!
It's alright.
Echoing everything bradjunswick said in their review (including being on-side), this movie is just. . . not-so-great. Tbh the ending credits were probably my favorite part. I liked the characters, but really didn't like much else in this flick. But I did watch it in full, because I want to support more trans people in their endeavors, even if the execution is so-so.
"i know writers who use subtext, and they're all cowards" - if you think this famous Garth Marenghi quote is a solid guiding principle for a movie about how there's a growing reactionary movement dedicated to erasing trans people from our society here in the west, then you'll probably dig this movie. personally I'm on-side (trans myself) but i felt it was pretty cringe in the execution, for lack of, well, subtlety. still some great moments within, though
