Visually this movie is spectacular and the score is phenomenal. I am glad I finally got around to watching this classic horror. It still holds up today as one of the most visually disturbing films ever made. I did find it hard to enjoy the film without being distracted by constantly having to play with the volume because at times the score was too saturated and it felt difficult to enjoy the movie in those times. Would love to watch this movie with an audio remaster.
That was the loudest film Ive ever seen
I don’t understand why soo many people like this movie. The music was soo incredibly loud and obnoxious and the characters voices were so soft I was to investigate in turning the volume up and down . The fake blood was hilarious. Honestly I couldn’t wait for this movie to finish.
I'm honestly not sure if I can finish this movie. I think the soundtrack, (which may even be perfectly ok if the volume was a little lower) is incredibly distracting and to be honest sometimes, quite painful. I'm so surprised that more people haven't mentioned it.
I can't say enough good about this movie - the remake is great too; but this one is just a different experience - it's quite literally bewitching! Visually so stunning & unique, with a fantastic synth score by Goblin, it's fantastic and one of a kind. Certainly (in my opinion) Argento's best work!
