Jesus christ, if you like campy you'll love this lol. It was kinda fun.
I love this movie. Great cast and amazing acting
i really believed all of their characters. The conviction in heather graham really stood out the most to me throughout the movie. overall everyone else became a lot more convincing at the end when usually thats when it starts to lack in most of these multi soul and/or multi personality movies; and i actually kept avoiding this flick becauae thats the quality i expected but i was clearly wrong XD. this is an easy 4 skull rating
I mean, it’s like a campy 80s horror flick… But if you can overlook that, it’s actually fairly good. And I know the ”sexy” aspects will disquiet contemporary mores, as they did mine (it’s campy over-the-top heterosexual, with an inkling of queer thrown in for good measure), but God help me, I actually had fun.
This was a fun watch. It's a little too self-conscious in paying tribute to Stuart Gordon's Lovecraft adaptations of the '80s but that can be forgiven for the most part. Dennis Paoli's script is as ridiculously horny as anything he wrote all those years ago to the point that it becomes quite distracting and the film almost becomes an erotic thriller rather than a paean to the gonzo films that clearly inspired it. It could have done with being a considerably more balls-to-the-wall piece of splatter but the final third delivers the goods reasonably satisfactorily.
