I remember watching this movie many, many years ago. I didn't care for it much back then but upon this re-watching, I didn't think it was too bad. Definitely not the strongest story but trying to weave in the video game development angle was interesting. A 3. 75 skulls.

Slow and spare, but does evoke the experience of video games and visual novels

This movie is bad! Visually, it's ugly with its 2000s aesthetic. The story is inconsistent, with long moments, poorly written moments and inconsistencies. Not to mention these characters who are poorly written and its weird idea of being a video game in a movie, without knowing what is true or not. Worst Japanese movie I've seen in a long time. . .
