The most horrifying movie I've ever seen! The message is trust your gut people! The mother and daughter felt something was off early on in the film. That man was a pure psychopath. He started grooming them right from the start when they met on vacation, manipulating them, flattering them, a sort of ( love bombing). Lying, claiming he was a doctor. knowing they would feel more respect for him because of that. The acting was superb. The subtle push of their boundaries that then kept ramping up. I almost left my body at the most gruesome scene towards the end. I felt an uneasy sense of dread through most of the film. Psychological horror is my favorite. Don't care for a lot of gore or slasher films. It was so heartbreaking. If only they wouldn't have gone back.
Thoroughly enjoyable with an atmospheric spirit that will make you shift in your seat… If you enjoy slow burns and questionable family dynamics, this one’s for you!
Brutal, I think this ending was sad like the mist.
This is a chilling film. Reverse “Funny Games,” though a little bit more sensational in the depravity of it all. Nonetheless, the horror felt real. I feel like someone could pass this story off as true crime, and I’d believe it. 10/10.
Excellent…I’m sure the remake will pale in comparison to
