Technically a pyschological horror? Not my cup of tea.
90 minutes of eating disorder woes.........Not a horror
If it was possible to rate it 0 I would. It was shallow, unimaginative, had no ideas and was just a complete waste of time. It's so literal - I was constantly waiting for a twist or for there to be some element of horror but there just wasn't. Maybe if you have a history of trauma with food or eating, you might find this movie horrific because it mirrors your own trauma back to you, which feels like a cheap trick to get people to engage with a movie. Outside of this trick, it lacks any theme or depth, and I've never seen a character study with such a one-dimensional character. The film uses silence in place of a coherent message or throughline rather than to enhance one. If you were drawn in by the images on the movie page, just know that they have absolutely no context within the movie, it's just that visual with nothing behind it. There is no tension or emotion, it is just relentlessly dull. I hated this.
Loved it! VG portrayl of eating disorder. Didn't get the ending though.....
Gritty, artsy film. Not your typical horror, more a look into the ways an eating disorder can consume you
