A horror film that does a lot with what it has. The asylum setting is atmospheric and eerie, the characters and premise believable, and although it burns slow, it keeps you wondering where it’s going. Genuinely creepy and unnerving in the way that jump scares can’t compare.
Definitely has atmosphere, and while I wasn't too caught in in the beginning, by the middle had become invested in the plot.
I've seen this movie probably 5 or 6 times in the last 15 or 20 years. It just sort of shows up on a streaming service or something, and I give it a watch. It's a slow burner, which I have to be in the mood for, but it's definitely one of my favorites, slow burner or not. Very creepy and well made. A good psychological haunting of a movie.
Painfully slow and not enough pay off at the end. Also, very cheaply made
I've watched this countless times and it is still as eerie and scary as ever. Such a great film!
