Sea Fever

Sea Fever

Directed by Neasa Hardiman

For marine biology student Siobhán, it was supposed to be a research excursion with a trawler crew fishing the West Irish seas. Out in the deep Atlantic, an unfathomable life form ensnares the boat and they become marooned with a mysterious parasite infecting their water supply. Soon the oozing force infiltrates the entire vessel and turns Siobhan's journey into a claustrophobic fight for survival.

Really enjoyed this. Although technically a creature feature it definitely feels more like an outbreak thriller. I thought the acting was pretty good. I did find the self righteousness of the protagonist to lead to some very frustrating decision making. Absolutely worth a watch.

Excellent tale of ocean horror. Mixes interesting characters with a dreadful natural force. After early bad decisions, characters aren't idiots and make decisions that make sense.

Not worth your time. Your time is limited, this isn't worth it. Boring characters, boring story line, boring creature. It's not the worst thing I have ever seen it's just. . . Boring, bland. It has a similar plot as many other movies but just well, done less well. I know that sounds rough, but it's true. The actors weren't HORRIBLE, nothing in this movie is horrible, it's just a waste of time. A very basic, going through the motions type of movie.

No reason to watch. Nothing new, characters are boring, basic horror plot. Your time is limited and this movie just doesn't offer anything that makes it worth watching. the creature gets a couple shots one of them being pretty early in the movie, it's nothing scary or special.
