In my opinion, this is the worst of the francise. Offers nothing new and characters are boring..why are they on a boat

A solid franchise all-round! This is perhaps the most by-the-numbers of the 4 but still hugely enjoyable

i really enjoyed it. it is not found footage like 1 and 2. yes there are cameras on the boat but they are cctv. however it had plenty of gore, there one or two twists which was good. it does start of from the original building which was a good way to explain the connection.

A definite step up above the horrid REC3, but still no REC. Traded in tight storytelling and innovative commentary for big budget, a Tommy Lee Jones clone as a villain and a bag-full of clichés. Cinematography work is solid and camerawork is effective, but it pulls a Star-Wars-esque retrofit that's too thin - first the virus, then the Devil, then yet another explanation for it all? At best, a sub-par american zombie film; at worst, there's too much meat that fell off this walking cadaver to hold it up, really. All the way down to the cop-out ending. Stick with the first two as canon.
