Night Train Murders
Directed by Aldo Lado
From director Aldo Lado (SHORT NIGHT OF THE GLASS DOLLS). comes one of the most graphically fiendish films in exploitation history. Arriving in the wake of Wes Craven's shocking LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT, NIGHT TRAIN MURDERS is the story of two teenage girls traveling through Europe, forced into a nightmare of sexual assault and sadistic violence. Banned in the UK as a "video nasty," and featuring a score from the iconic Ennio Morricone, NIGHT TRAIN MURDERS remains a grisly thriller from a bygone era.
Two traveling girls descend into a nightmare of sadistic violence.
Cast: Flavio Bucci, Macha Méril, Gianfranco De Grassi

Pretty slow and tame. Could almost be an inferior Last House on the Left sequel set mostly on a passenger train.
If you are into the grind-house rape/revenge flicks it isn’t bad, regarding trying to have more of a sociological angle, but in the end a grind-house rape/revenge flick.
Great.
I thought for sure a German film, poorly dubbed in English (do they think fans of rape/revenge films can’t read?) that borrowed heavily from the groundbreaking “Last House on the Left” (the original) would be more sophisticated and brutal. Not so. For a film of this nature to succeed there must be tension and a dramatic build. Look elsewhere for that. Best description would be Lavern and Shirley meet a butchered (no pun intended) version of Hoopers, LHOTL.. The one truly disturbing element of this shockless-fest was the bizarro opening song and the horrifying vibrato of the singer. So awful it’s going on my playlist. The only thing the film has going for it is the delicious take on a sadistic nymphomaniacal version of the great Marlene Dietrich.
I have seen the unrated version of Last House on the Left (70s version), the murky pond scene is forever enbedded in mind. Last House is the epitamy of this type of movie. This movie is good and worth a watch, if you like this type of movie.
