Solid movie, just enough to keep me interested
a lot of these reviews are talking about how unlikable the lead is. . . yeah, sure, but she's a fighter so I don't really care. given the enviornment she's in and the people* she was surrounded by, I completely get why she was "unlikable". it's not going on an all-time favorite list, but it's good enough to watch again. the "final girl" (only girl, really) is badass.
This movie had so much going for it. Great music, good acting, good cinematography. The story could have been good but my God it’s just all so frustrating. The protagonist is unlikable but acts like a realistic teen, so it’s reasonable. The problem is, everyone in this movie acts like a dumb teen. The final nail in the coffin is the anti-choice subtext. This movie is a complete waste of time. It’s such a shame, better writing could have made this a great movie. Skip.
The film is more of a thriller than a horror film, but it succeeds very well in raising the tension and keeping us on guard, especially in making us angry with the main actress. On the other hand, the film suffers from staging that is not violent enough for my taste and from actors who do not all play equally. I would say that the film is good, but could have been even better.
Le'Peduncle was here, les chiennes!
