A cool beans entry into Romeros Living Dead world. Not satirical or even heavy handed in it's theme of the 'rich get richer & the poor get eaten' angle. Some great performances especially by Asia Argento, John Leguizamo, & Dennis Hopper as the conniving millionaire. Plus it's nice to see the shuffling zombies thinking for a change as in Day of the Deads Bub. It's strange how the film is fitting for the times going on in 2025. Very strange it's as if Mr. Romero knew. . . . .
Eat the rich. Romero took Day of the Dead and made a more coherent zombie allegory in the heart of mid-2000's American culture. Bush's America was one of haves and have nots as demonstrated in this film. The slum towns in rhe movie outside of Fiddler's Green are prophetic of Occupy Wall Street and social outcry to the excessively wealthy. The one skull ratings show how dense some viewers are. Romero is the grandfather of zombie film and this modernizes his Night and Dawn series well.
Eat the rich
this is the best zombie movie out imo. it straight up kicks ass and good acting suprizingly
Solid movie, loved Charlie. Eugene Clark as the gas station attendant turned zombie horde leader was alright, and Romero, of course, decided to make his social commentary pretty in your face. I didn't mind, the gore was solid.
