I had heard so much about this film, and how good it was. maybe I was expecting more? The movie nailed the atmosphere, but everything else seemed lack luster. It wasn't bad, but I can't imagine myself ever wanting to watch this again.
it's alright
Came back to watch this one again after the Satan's Slaves movies and his new series over on Netflix. Pity Shudder didn't get dibs on that too. But I digress. This is a terrific film, even better second time round. Great performances and a story that keeps you interested till the end.
Compared to "Satan's Slaves" which was in classic horror, with classic jumpscares, this story focuses much more on the descent into hell of a village gone mad because of despair and I find this film better because of its theme and the horror that this village lives more frightening than jumpscares. I recommend it.
The storytelling, history, and cinematography are on point. Enjoyed the movie very much.
