Not great. Idea seemed cool, cinematography looked cool in the trailer, but it fell short of delivering on the concept. Writing wasn’t good and the acting was rough save for one character.
Hilarious but also sickeningly scary how something like this could be an idea someone would have in our society.
Could've gone further but the concept was cool. Enjoyed watching it.
What a delightful surprise! I loved it and definitely makes you think.
I thought this was a really fun movie that talks about some interesting ideas. Very much a satirical critique of our modern ideas of "civilization," we're all so logical and civilized until it's our turn to face the chopping block, at which point we revert to unreasoning beasts who decry what is and isn't "fair" in an uncaring world. I dug it. I showed up to see if the Cronenberg talent nepo'd it's way down and I'm excited to see what she puts out in the future. 4 stars because I didn't really understand how the ending panned out.
