Decent body horror.
I enjoyed that! When I think of kiwi horror films, I usually think just gory or strange/psychological. But this had an interesting story and good sfx.
If I wanted to be quippy I’d say “All style but no The Substance” except it wasn’t even stylish. Half baked. Disappointing. There’s something interesting to be said here about xenophobia and the prevalence of whiteness as a beauty standard but nothing was ever actually SAID. A shame.
