I thought the plot had some very decent ideas with alot of subtly and ambiguity. But my biggest issue was that I didn't feel there was much to like about the characters. I know they had troubled pasts, but they came across bland and boring. Also, I felt their direction was strange with alot of staring into space, not saying a word. And some of the scripting was a bit poor. There were some unanswered questions that left my quite baffled at the end. Again, I love most of the subtly and the ambiguity, but there were moments, I felt, that needed some explanation. Overall, this wasn't great, but I've seen much worse.
Slow-paced paychological horror is normally my go-to... some of my favourite films fall into this category. But I could only get through about half of this film before I had to turn it off due to boredom.
Painfully dull.
Crime drama meets arthouse horror. Slower paced than many films, but the tension mounts deliciously with each scene. I can not decide between 4 and 5 stars, so I'm rounding up to 5. Thoroughly recommend, but again, do note it's a slow, insidious burn of a plot, not a fast-paced slasher.
Very eerie. I enjoyed it
