Delightful. I had google out for the symbolism, but it’s easy enough to follow. Not terribly scary. It builds bonds and compassion for the characters before whipping out the extent of the horror. And because you feel more for the characters, it hits a bit harder than your standard “bogey man”. Satisfying ending. Just looooong.
It was well acted but not very scary. And unless you are well versed in Korean history and shamanism, it didn’t make a lot of sense.
Like 2 great movies in one!
Phenomenal! Had to do some research to understand the history between Japan and Korea afterwards and lo Ed what I learned!
