I didn't expect to see a completely naked man tonight
So I think this is actually a reasonably decent horror but I didn’t really enjoy it at the same time. It’s as sick and depraved as the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre which it is shamelessly derivative of and no I don’t mean that as a compliment. I know it might seem blasphemous amongst us horror fanatics to diss the original TTCM but I just found it too sick and decrepit much like this Serbian counterpart. I did think the actor who played St Peter played the part well though.
Love the atmosphere and cinematography with this one. It brings part grindhouse, part Italian horror from the 70s that's top notch. Somewhat predictable, but still a fun watch.
Props for what it attempts, though I didn't find it entirely successful. Good performances and the 70s grindhouse vibe was on point.
No Spoilers: The less you know the better. I just watched this randomly without reading the description and Im better off for it. Interesting film that sets up a few simple twists and has good acting and interesting weirdos. There are better films yes but at least it is a new horror film clearly inspired by the genre and not some snooze fest "slow burn"
