This was a fucking blast. I am a metalhead; I am fully in the target audience for this and it hit me right in the heart. I'm not sure I've ever sympathized with the main character more than I did here. I've had the same fantasies as Brody. The gore and special FX are great, the comedy isn't A+ but there's some clever moments, and the soundtrack kicks ass.
I was positively surprised by this movie. I wouldn't say it's incredible but it's definitely pretty alright. It's dumb, but it doesn't try to be smart. So honestly, you can't really fault it there. If you like horror comedies I definitely recommend this as it's just mindless fun.
GOOFY AHH MOVIE!!!! Even though this isn't really a horror film other than in tis aesthetics, this movie serves as a fantastic play on both horror concepts as well as metal music. If you can imagine a combination of Zombieland and Wayne's World, only with the gore and comedy as raunchy as possible, that's what you'll be getting into - and it's awesome.
Really not my cup of tea. Hair metal and homophobia galore.
Quirky, bloody, satanic, and just over all FUN!
