Brain Freeze
Directed by Julien Knafo
Brain Freeze is a smart zombie comedy that fulfils everyone’s desire to ‘eat the rich’! The affluent residents of Peacock Island want the ability to golf year-round. Their wish gets granted in the form of a new fertilizer that will grow grass even in the iciest conditions, but they soon realise all-year round golfing comes at a cost…the experimental fertilizer makes its way into the water supply, contaminating the population and leading to a spine-chilling zombie outbreak. As the uninfected journey across their quarantined island, they must battle their flesh-eating neighbours to survive.

I sooo wanted to like this flick, especially since it's from my native Québec; it comes close to hitting the mark, but Turbo Kid this ain't! Characters are paper-thin, half the gag is in the cast picks (which will be lost on non-Quebecers) and the dialogue is often stilted and aimless. A few jokes hit home and the final shot is heartbreaking and strong, but overall the film does not stand up to scrutiny.
nice little surprise this one,in my experience subtitles are an indicator of quality more than an annoyance & this was no exception. good quality from start to finish production performance & effect wise. an 'infection' film not a zombie one,but held my interest & was good entertainment 👍
If you are a fan of “zombie” movies and aren’t as thick as some on here who complain there are subtitles I think you’ll enjoy this.
Not great, but not terrible either, worth a watch. A different take on the zombie outbreak but not scary or gory enough for my
misleading language
