The reviews are a little skewed just because the first is an absolute classic, but I do enjoy this one too. It is intense, violent, has good characters and music, exciting story, it just lacks the charm of the first. I would probably agree that it is a bit too long too. Also I'm not a fan of Riki Takeuchi in this, he's weird haha. Still a banger

Not a scratch on the first film but much better than I expected. Riki Takeuchi's acting does not fit the tone of the movie at all and almost ruins it, but there's enough in the rest of it to be worth a watch.

Not as good as the first film, but Riki Takeuchi made it funny (for fans of the Yakuza games series!)

Sorry. My previous review was for the original 😅 this sequel is very disappointing. Somehow its really dull, repetitive and besieged by ott performances that hinder rather than enhance. Real shame.

Never gets old. Brutal, funny, great performances, action packed and still has something to say.
