all of the main characters were so unlikable and insufferable i was rooting for the bad guys the entire time. still a good movie. well made.
Probably not a bad movie, but it was pretty much everything I can't stand about modern horror movies. It's never just a monster or slasher anymore. It's always terrible people you can't wait to see die and their emotional baggage or mental disorders. And the movies are never straight forward. Everything has to be subversive like Scream or have a twist like a Shyamalan train wreck, and we always have to keep the audience guessing to the point that there is no other point. These things never stick the landing so it's just 90 minutes of tires spinning in the mud or being lost in the reeds. It's dull, exhausting, and never fulfilling.
A movie that has forever changed the way I view Airbnbs. It's strange and gross in some bits in a way that just makes my brain imagine the implications of the history of this rental. Very unsettling and not what I expected it to be, but in a good way.
Wasn't too bad.
I like the occasional slow-burn movie, but this one was a little too slow for me. However, I was not expecting the turn of events at the end. I'm glad I watched it, since my friends recommended it.
