An Easy to follow story with a weird plot but I still enjoyed the movie because it was exactly what I expected and sometimes that can be a good thing in horror movies. A few jump scares .

endearingly bad. Not as funny as it could be, But it still is funny to see Patty Duke battle an evil lamp. Love these bad films where everyone acts like some totally absurd thing is reasonable. When horror tries to be funny it usually fails. Thankfully this one is trying to be a serious film.

I would be asking the question how did the parrot get in to the toaster oven not who let him out? Wish my chainsaw started that easily. Stupid lamp...lame.

Not grade-A limburger cheese like Troll 2 or Jason X, but a reasonable cheddar. I love movies that obviously make strange decisions at every turn due to budget constraints. The premise is silly as hell, but everyone does their damnedest to play it straight, including the unbelievable lamp prop itself. This is the first truly campy Amityville sequel. God bless it.
