For those complaining this film is not horror - Shudder defines itself as providing a range of "horrors, thrillers, and suspense". As for the film itself, it is an off beat Aussie thriller, about a the investigation into the attempted arson of a hotel that seems to being built in the middle of nowhere. On the minus, it is wildly uneven, with a broken plot. Some of the performances are a bit gauche. There is gratuitous female nudity. On th eplus, there are some well staged moments, like the burning train, the wait at the station under a leering clown face, and the final confrontation-amid-conflagration. But none of that matters because it has James Mason in it, which is always good.
Ummm Not horror
good gracious this is nearly as old as me, don’t know why it’s on here, nothing scary or weird. It was good to see all the old cars & some actors just starting out though
