I found myself really enjoying this film. The actors did a great job. I agree with other reviewers, it was a bit much in places, and took itself too seriously at times, and it would have made a great horror comedy with a few tweaks to the already entertaining writing and dialogue. I’ll definitely watch it again at some point.
A new and refreshing idea, mixed with a batshit crazy concept that is bananas, and a volatile unpredictable twist ending. . . This movie is a ride from the opening the scene until the credits roll. . .
So, the "fun house" lighting and some of the dialogue made me think that this was going to be a sort of comedy-horror, but I got the sense that we were supposed to take this far more seriously than the movie made me want to. Really not great. There were a couple of scenes that were good enough to warrant a 2-skull rating.
Awesome
Messy? Yeah. But just the kind of perverse, pine-tree smelling oddity some of us dig. Shout out to the actors and that God damned DP holy $hizer what kind of poppers was that guy on. Acid (reflux) trip Argento.
