13 Ghosts
Directed by William Castle
A professor moves his family into a house containing hidden treasure and 12 ghosts of varying shapes and size - including a decapitated man, a killer chef and a flaming skeleton. All 12 spirits have been held prisoner in the house and must find an unlucky 13th ghost to free them. Will it be a member of the family? Or maybe...YOU? William Castle’s wonderfully silly spookfest featured one of his goofiest gimmicks: Illusion-O, an altered 3-D viewer that allowed audiences to amplify or opt out of seeing the spectres depending on their fear levels. Essential SHUDDER.

A wholesome classic. Not very scary but very fantastical.
It would have been fun to see this with the modified 3-D glasses that allowed you to choose about seeing the ghosts in the film. I enjoyed how very goofy this film was. I was afraid that it would make the ghost all be an illusion, but they're as real in this film as they are in Ghostbusters. It had a ghostbuster, but he's passed. But his ghosts are still in the house. I love that William Castle hired the Wicked Witch of the West herself to be the Witch Lady. And we have Martin Milner, the good cop from Adam 12, as a shady lawyer.
this is one of my favorite movies of all time, even though it is very cheesy and gimmicky. if you're going into this one thinking it will be just like the 2001 version, you will be disappointed. much less gore, but that's not the point of this movie. the point is to tell a story and to provide some good tension. if you're a fan of classic horror, you will love this movie!!!
old school horror I really enjoyed this one
Loved this movie as a kid. A bit gimmicky and primitive by today's standards, but I still watch it occasionally because I really enjoy it.
