I absolutely loved the first 3 and this one is a great addition to the collection! The Hell House movies are my go-to for get-in-the-mood October spooky time! 👻
This movie was amazing. Great scares, great acting. The only thing I did not care for was the “documentary” in the movie, that acting was not great. Thankfully the bulk of the movie is not shot like a documentary.
I wish I could give this a higher rating! 1000/5 Love it. Having found footage really made me believe some of it was real at times 🎥🖤 And having clowns is an amazing bonus (I love clowns. Especially creepy ones) 🤡
The best of a bad bunch
This fourth instalment is up there with the first movie and is so much better than the previous two sequels. It was refreshing to have a new backdrop for the series, and I love how they connected the Abaddon Hotel lore with the emerging Carmichael Manor lore. The use of the clowns feels like a must-have for any potential future movies, as it doesn’t get old and retains the fear factor. Having only 3 protagonists was helpful in establishing an emotional connection with them, and I was particularly empathising with Chase.
