Absolutely love this film. It's simple (but complete), except for the flashes between past and present, which slowly start to make sense. Just a joy every time I watch it.
Long slow slog to nothing.
Slow burns need a real payoff, that this doesn't really provide.
I thought this was good. I know people say its a slow burn but its 89 min and i think it sets up a lot of tension for a big ending. so keep that in mind.
Conceptually interesting, but I had a really hard time with the line delivery. I couldn't take anything anyone said seriously because it felt like no one tried to match the setting in their voice, save for maybe the reverend. A little all over the place, and while I enjoy the concept of an unreliable narrator, I was confused to what she even thought was happening.
