Of all of Italian horror movies I've seen, I consider The Sect to be the low point. Dull, slow and far too long. Nothing ever really happens, despite a strong opening scene. Everything else is, at best, fuctional. I can't even agree with it being shot with noteworthy style. It's not terrible, but hardly stands out. It doesn't even fall back on the ol' giallo stand-by of gore and nudity to keep your attention. This is one where chopping a good twenty minutes out of the run-time could only have helped.
really enjoyed this film, kept me on my toes. Dunno why all the hate tbh its a must watch for me
really weird but the pace was a bit slow, there are worse films on here
This film is about microplastics.
Meh.
